Dubai celebration brings the Filipino community together for the 128th Independence Day

A major Filipino community celebration was organised at Dubai World Trade Centre to mark the Philippines’ 128th Independence Day. Organisers expected around 40,000 people from the Filipino community and other UAE communities to take part in the June 2026 gathering.

The programme brought together Filipino music, P-pop performances, traditional dress, food and family activities. Philippine diplomatic representatives, Filipino schools and business groups from Dubai and Abu Dhabi were also part of the event.

Beyond entertainment, the celebration reflected the visibility of Filipinos in everyday UAE life. Filipino professionals, entrepreneurs, students and families continue to contribute to the country while keeping a strong connection to their language, food and traditions.
